Natalie feels it is an honor and a privilege to walk with individuals through their darkest valleys, holding hope that there is a way out. She provides trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, cognitive, and experiential therapy. When working with children, she utilizes sandtray and play therapy to help build rapport and a therapeutic connection. She considers it sacred to sit with her clients in the suffering as a light, speaking truth, kindness, compassion, and love in places where clients have become accustomed to the voice of shame, guilt, overwhelming self-doubt, and fear. She considers it a joy and a calling to climb into the pit of trauma, depression, anxiety, infidelity, and addiction. Natalie Decker is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH19505) in the State of Florida. She received a Master of Science in Counselor Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University and holds certification as a Qualified Supervisor in Individual Therapy in the State of Florida. Her trauma-informed training is in Narrative Therapy, Gottman, Cognitive, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Her approach integrates elements of mindfulness, attachment, somatic experiencing, inner child or “parts” work, and cognitive and emotional regulation. Natalie begins with relationship first and pulls from her experience growing up in a chaotic and addictive family, to be in tune with her client's felt experience. Natalie has walked through darkness in her life, experiencing childhood trauma, bereavement, struggles in marriage, parenting children with special needs, church hurt, and cognitive and emotional dysregulation. These shared experiences foster authentic compassion, creating a vital sense of safety and understanding that is the foundation of all therapeutic work. The therapeutic relationship helps alleviate feelings of isolation, empowering clients to address trauma and heal relational wounds. She believes that fostering a secure attachment builds essential internal resources, supporting overall well-being and the capacity to thrive.
