I work with people of various backgrounds, especially adults and teens in the LGBTQ+ community and individuals with a history of trauma. Using a mix of evidence-based interventions like EMDR, Internal Family Systems, along with a somatic, multicultural and feminist lens, I aim to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can explore all the parts of yourself. I believe the key to progress in therapy is curiosity and a commitment to yourself, and my goal as your therapist is to walk alongside you as you discover your own personal power! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan. I have earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Western Michigan University. I am also trained in the SAFE approach to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I use EMDR, Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, and mindfulness to help you connect to parts of yourself that may need nurturing. In your first session, we'll discuss what's difficult for you right now and what goals you have for your mental health. As your therapist, it's my goal to help you find your personal power so you can have agency over how you respond to life's difficult moments. I know it's a big step to start therapy. I'm here to help you navigate the process. Feel free to send me an email to schedule a call. I'm free for a call most Mondays and Fridays. I can't wait to meet you and hear about what you're hoping to accomplish through therapy!
