As a first-generation Latina who speaks Spanish fluently, I aim to hold your identities in our therapeutic work. The importance of reflecting how intergenerational trauma, cultural values, and societal inequalities (immigration status, racism, etc.) directly impact our life experiences and set our inner expectations. I also explore experiences of burnout, difficulties building/maintaining relationships, constant inner pressure to do "more", finding your identity, etc. Processing your life experiences will ultimately increase our insight to your feelings and behaviors. I work alongside clients with anxiety, depression, adults with late-diagnosed ADHD, OCD, and complex trauma. Including women who have been sexually abused. I cultivate a unique approach to each patient to honor your personal goals, incorporating elements of attachment, psychodynamic, CBT, experiential, and mindfulness-based approaches. In our therapeutic relationship, I guide with empathy to hold past life experiences and recognizing its influence in the present, personality, and/or interpersonal relationships. Together, we will process inner wounds to achieve meaningful change.
