Maybe you're a gifted kid who burned out after graduation. Or maybe you're trapped in people-pleasing and perfectionism. Maybe you never really get a break from the racing thoughts and worries, or you're still being tripped up by trauma or loss, or you're dealing with issues related to your religious or political group. It seems like no one fully gets what's going on with you, and even you don't understand it at times. There are problems you can't seem to fix, accept, or make meaning of. Regardless, you know life can be better than this, and you're tired of waiting for it to change. As a therapist, I see myself as having two boxes of tools at my disposal. The first box includes structured, often short-term treatments to address specific sets of symptoms. The second box holds more open-ended, exploratory methods that help get at the deeper questions we face as humans. Whether you're facing trauma, anxiety, burnout, depression, or infertility and perinatal concerns, you deserve contentment—and a way forward. You're capable of finding that path forward, and you don’t have to seek it alone. In therapy, my role is to walk with you.
