You are the expert of your own life, journey, and story. With that said, we often do and say things that we are not quite sure of where they came from or why we are doing/saying those things. I believe that all of these behaviors are present for a good reason, even if the action that follows that reason is harmful. My approach to therapy is to follow your lead as you map out your life so we can explore why your mind and body are responding how it does. We can then work together to help establish regulation and self-leadership over compulsive behaviors and live a life of freedom where every part of yourself can feel safe and loved. I am a certified trauma practitioner, an associate sexual addiction therapist candidate, and formally trained in foster care and adoption therapy.
