Introduction

Hi, I'm Nathan Staggs, LSWAIC — the founder of Ready For It Therapy. I've worked in mental health since 2011, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that the system meant to help people is often the biggest barrier to actually getting help. It's overwhelming and hard to navigate, even after you've decided you're ready to do the work. My practice exists to make that part easier. My clinical background centers on children, adolescents, and families — particularly those connected to the foster care system or navigating complex, high-acuity behavioral health needs. I hold a complex trauma certification, and much of my career before private practice was spent alongside youth and families through some of the hardest chapters of their lives. Individual therapy is offered virtually through telehealth, so you can meet with me from wherever's most comfortable. My teen DBT skills group is the one exception — it meets in person, after school, in Spokane. NEW: Teen DBT Skills Group Starting with the 2026–2027 school year, I'm running an in-person DBT skills group for teens in Spokane. Teens build connection with peers while learning the four core DBT skill areas — Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Sessions run after school hours, and to keep it accessible, the group is $30/session. My approach Therapy with me is collaborative — we set goals together and work toward them using evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, and family therapy. My job is to help you understand what's driving the behaviors or patterns you're struggling with, build coping tools that actually fit your life, and create change that lasts. Getting started Reaching out is often the hardest step, and if you've made it this far, you've already tackled one of the biggest ones. I'm currently accepting new clients with flexible scheduling, and no question is too small — feel free to call or message. A 20-minute consultation is also available if you'd like to talk before deciding. Fees & insurance My practice is private pay. I provide Superbills for clients seeking insurance reimbursement, and I partner with Mentaya to help handle out-of-network billing on your behalf. Sliding scale spots are also available for clients for whom cost is a barrier — everyone deserves access to the support they need.
