Nejwa is a LCSW in the state of Massachusetts. Nejwa has received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons University. She identifies as a Palestinian-Somali, Muslim woman. She is passionate about eliminating barriers for BIPOC and Muslim mental health care. As a clinical social worker, advocacy and social justice are core values for Nejwa. Nejwa utilizes a culturally-responsive lens alongside therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults through individual and group therapy. Additionally, she has worked with those who have struggled with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Nejwa hopes to create a safe space for clients to share their vulnerabilities and aid them throughout their healing journeys.
