“Go with the weird.” That’s something I often encourage in therapy. Just giving yourself space to sit with the unexpected, the uncomfortable, and the unknown as you figure out where you’ve been, where you are, and where you want to be. My name is Newton Rogers (they/them). I work with folks navigating challenges and curiosities surrounding identity, substance use, mood/anxiety, trauma, compassion fatigue, wellness/illness paradigms, and burnout. My style is based on co-creation and mutuality. Relationships are dynamic - and the therapeutic relationship is no different. Together, we cultivate a space for you to feel safe and explore these challenges is a primary objective in our work together. I work with intention, drawing from dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodynamic and existential theories; systemic and archetypal exploration, and mindfulness practices. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a meeting of journeys — sometimes we cross paths at just the right time. My practice is rooted in harm reduction, pro–sex worker, anti-capitalist values, and black joy
