I’m Niajcia Brookshire, a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to providing compassionate, individualized care to children, adolescents, and women. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to work through life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2017, followed by my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from UW–Madison in 2019. Since completing my graduate degree, I have continued to expand my clinical training and experience in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), suicide prevention and intervention, and adoption and foster care. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I work with clients to develop healthy coping skills, strengthen emotional intelligence, build self-awareness, and recognize their individual strengths. I also value collaboration with parents and caregivers when appropriate, to support meaningful progress beyond therapy. I believe every client has a unique story, and therapy should meet them where they are because…healing starts with being heard.
