Introduction

So you are looking to start therapy? That's amazing! This step can be a very stressful and overwhelming experience, and I want to help you get started on your journey. It is vitally important to have a safe place to open up, feel comfortable enough to lean into difficult topics, build distress tolerance, and even feel like you can laugh again. I have been working in mental health for 15 years in an inpatient acute care hospital, inpatient residential treatment center, intensive outpatient program, and individual outpatient settings. I am intensively trained in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and have foundational training in EMDR. This next step is one in which you can take back control of your life and build the skills needed to face anything head on!
