Introduction

Beyond Talk When coping isn’t enough, real change is possible. A lot of the people I work with are holding it together on the outside but feel worn down on the inside. They’re getting through the day, showing up for work and relationships, but living with constant stress, anxiety, emotional shutdown or reactivity. Others come to therapy because addiction has entered their family or relationship, and they’re exhausted from trying to help while staying grounded and emotionally intact. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and it doesn’t mean you’re broken. I came to this work from both professional experience and personal understanding. I spent years working in residential and outpatient substance use treatment, and before becoming a therapist, I worked in a fast-paced corporate role. I know what it’s like to live in a constant state of pressure, to push through burnout and to rely on willpower or coping strategies that only go so far. What actually changed for me wasn’t just talking or learning new insights; it was doing deeper work that addressed what was happening beneath the surface and allowed my nervous system to finally slow down and reset. That’s how I approach therapy today. Our work isn’t about endlessly revisiting the past or just learning how to manage symptoms. It’s about creating real shifts in how your body and mind respond to stress, emotions and relationships. Sessions are active and focused. We work on stabilizing first, then addressing the patterns that create anxiety, shutdown or substance use, so you’re not just understanding your reactions but actually experiencing change in your day-to-day life. If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond talking and helps you feel different, not just think differently, I invite you to take the next step. Complete the form below to schedule a free consultation call. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you and see if this approach feels like the right fit.
