At Nostos Counseling, my work is focused on couples seeking to strengthen connection and deepen understanding within their relationships. Nostos (νόστος) originates in Ancient Greek literature, particularly in Homer’s Odyssey, where it refers to a return home after periods of struggle and wandering. This idea guides my practice - supporting couples in finding their way back to emotional closeness, steadiness, and renewed connection. Many couples come to therapy feeling stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from one another, or overwhelmed by life transitions that strain the relationship. In our work together, we slow down these interaction cycles to better understand what is happening beneath the surface - including the attachment needs, emotional experiences, and relational patterns shaping the dynamic. My approach is collaborative and intentional, grounded in EFT-informed, attachment-based, and psychodynamic perspectives. Together, we identify reactive cycles, deepen emotional insight, and build healthier patterns of communication and repair that foster greater security and connection over time. Telehealth and in-person sessions are available. Before scheduling, couples are invited to book a brief, complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss goals, ask initial questions, and determine next steps. This call is not a therapy session. Nostos Counseling specializes in couples therapy. I also maintain an individual therapy caseload at Integrated Behavioral Care.
