Hello! My name is Nicole Brown, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, my approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s unique experience. I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and substance use. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel fully seen, heard, and understood while building the tools to improve well-being. With a humanistic foundation, I approach therapy by centering the person, not just the symptoms. I believe in meeting each individual where they are, and walking alongside them to make sense of their experiences, develop meaningful tools, and move toward long-term healing and growth. I use an integrative approach tailored to each client, drawing from person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and somatic therapy. I hold a Master’s in Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Social Action from Palo Alto University. Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations in nonprofit, outpatient settings, on Santa Clara County's acute crisis response incident team, and as a high school counselor. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families across a wide range of backgrounds and needs at the individual, couple, and group level. Perspective and lived experience are central to my work. I firmly believe that true healing starts with being deeply understood. That’s why I strive to see the world through my clients’ eyes, so I can support them with the compassion, insight, and respect they deserve. Whether you are struggling, seeking clarity, or simply need someone safe to talk to, I’m here to help you navigate your path and discover the strength and tools already within you.
