You're doing everything you can and it still doesn't feel like enough. Maybe you're a new mom and it doesn't feel the way everyone said it would. Maybe something happened during your birth that you haven't been able to put down. Maybe you're running on fumes — work, pickups, the 4pm unraveling — and you've lost track of who you are outside of everyone else's needs. Or maybe you're a parent watching your kid struggle and you don't know how to help. This is a place to set some of it down. I'm Nicole Simonson, a licensed independent clinical social worker with 16 years of experience supporting women, children, and families across Massachusetts. I spent 11 of those years as a school social worker and clinical supervisor before moving into private practice full time. I hold Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and have completed EMDR training for trauma work. My practice centers on women — moms in the postpartum stretch, women navigating pregnancy loss and infertility, working moms running on empty, and adult women carrying anxiety, burnout, trauma, and big life transitions. I also see children and teens ages 6 to 17, often alongside parent coaching for the adults raising them. Sessions are warm, practical, and paced to what you can actually hold right now. We talk, we figure out what's getting in the way, and we build something you can use outside the room.
