Introduction

My name is Nikki Smith. I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor licensed in the state of Maryland. I have been practicing for over 14 years. I work with individuals, groups and families to identify treatment goals and collaboratively execute those goals, using a range of modalities such as CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Person Centered, etc. I am very eclectic in my therapeutic approach and treatment is tailored to meet the individual and/or family needs of each client. I’m so eager to start this journey of self-love with you and bring a little “easy” to your life. In our first session together, here's what you can expect: The therapeutic relationship has such an impact on the therapeutic outcomes. In our initial sessions, we will be focusing on getting to know you. We will identify what it is that you need in order to continue to grow within a safe confidential environment. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions: My greatest strength is that I am a helper, not only by trade, but innately. I am very empathetic, a great listener and solution focused. I am also able to hold space and provide comfort and support. I’m a safe place because I’m consistent and knowledgeable. I thank you for the opportunity to go on this journey with you. The clients I'm best positioned to serve: I enjoy working with clients who have a desire to have a better quality of life and are in search for the tools and support to feel better. Therapy can be an amazing experience and I’m so excited to be a part of your journey. I also wanted to share that I love engaging in family/couples therapy and I am very skilled in this area! Look out life, here you come!
