Hello! My name is Nina Tomkiewicz. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's in Social Work. In between my undergraduate and graduate studies, I spent 4 years living and working at Buddhist retreat centers. While this was an unplanned detour in my life, it helped to affirm the importance of developing our spiritual selves on our path to mental well-being. I find that the two are inextricably linked, and that we can learn to be more fulfilled by opening ourselves to the bigger purpose of our lives. I believe we are all incredibly unique and bring our own meaningful essence to life, and this essence can get easily obscured by childhood trauma, depression, anxiety and excesses of fear, worry and doubt. Working to improve our mental health means learning to become more of ourselves. I work with adults and offer online, video sessions. I combine a cognitive-based approach with parts work, somatic-based mindfulness, and future-oriented imagining. Through our work together, my hope is that you feel more resilient, optimistic, and confident in facing life's challenges, releasing old wounds and building a life you find worth living.
