Introduction

Noah Samples is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) with extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), utilizing both through a person-centered, strengths-emphasizing lens. Noah has experience working with adults and adolescents to develop coping skills for anxiety, decrease depressive symptoms, eliminate self-harmful behaviors, and develop useful strategies to deal with everyday stress. He has also worked with clients with trauma, neurodivergence, suicidal ideation, and psychosis. Noah received his Bachelor of Biology from NC State University and his Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is passionate about working with marginalized groups and providing meaningful therapy to those who feel unseen and unheard, including men, women, people of color, teens, and young adults. He emphasizes trauma-informed, empathetic, and understanding therapy in which he and the client work together to create an effective plan. Noah believes therapy to be a collaborative process rooted in authenticity, growth, and compassion. He strives to create a space where clients feel safe to show up fully, explore their experiences without judgment, and move toward meaningful and lasting change. Drawing from DBT, CBT, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), he tailors his approach to meet each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals. With his collaboration, you will work to better understand patterns, strengthen resilience, deepen self-awareness, and build confidence in navigating life’s challenges. He hopes that clients leave sessions feeling empowered, understood, and more connected to themselves and the life they want to create. Seeking support is often one of the most challenging steps of the journey. You are not alone, and Noah hopes to be the counselor who supports you along the way! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a time to meet.
