A big part of my work involves helping clients understand how their past family dynamics shape the beliefs, reactions, and patterns they carry into adulthood. I often describe it like reading a book: the chapters from childhood don't disappear just because we've moved into later chapters—they set the tone, introduce the themes, and shape the characters we become. Many of the emotions people struggle with today—anxiety, shame, people‑pleasing, shutting down, anger—make a lot more sense when we look at the environments they grew up in and the roles they had to play to stay connected or safe. In therapy, we slow down enough to notice these patterns, understand where they came from, and begin rewriting the parts that no longer serve you. My goal is to help you make sense of your internal world with clarity and compassion so you can respond to life from a place of choice rather than old survival habits.
