Hi, I'm Olivia Harpster, LCSW, a therapist with Chicago Compass Counseling. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. Since 2013, my work has taken me through hospital emergency rooms, community health centers, and healthcare leadership roles. Along the way, I've learned that people are rarely as stuck as they feel, and that the real question isn't only what works, but what works for you. That's why we'll choose tools and strategies that fit how you learn and process, not just what a model says should work. My approach is collaborative and evidence-based, focused on building skills, increasing emotional flexibility, and taking values-driven steps forward. I also believe trauma affects both mind and body, and that healing means learning to regulate, reconnect, and feel more at home in yourself. My style is attuned, interactive, and honest. We'll work best together if you're open to being gently challenged as we work toward meaningful, sustainable change. I hold an MSW from Loyola University Chicago and a BA in Psychology from DePaul University. Outside of therapy, I feel most grounded running, reading, and spending time outdoors with my husband and our two dogs. If this sounds like a good fit, I'd love to connect.
