Introduction

My name is Dr. Oluwakemi Mitchell, and as your healthcare provider, it is my goal to walk alongside you on your journey toward becoming the best version of yourself. I believe that every person deserves compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care to support their emotional well-being. Life can present us with unique challenges—stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or difficulties with focus and attention—and my passion is to help clients navigate those challenges in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. I began my career by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University in Florida, where I developed a strong foundation in holistic and patient-centered care. My desire to make a deeper impact in mental health led me to pursue advanced education, and I went on to complete my Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Walden University in Minnesota. This training prepared me to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy across the lifespan. In my practice, I work with individuals struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, sleep disturbances, and family or relationship conflicts. I also understand how cultural values, life transitions, and personal identity can shape one’s experience with mental health, and I strive to honor those factors in every treatment plan. My approach is collaborative and empowering. I view the client-provider relationship as a partnership where your voice matters. Together, we will create an individualized care plan that may include medication, psychotherapy, coping skills, and lifestyle strategies to help you feel more balanced and in control. My role is not only to prescribe or manage medications but also to listen, guide, and encourage you as you grow through challenges and discover your strengths. I believe healing is possible, and progress is achievable one step at a time. My ideal client is someone who is ready to take that next step—whether it’s managing overwhelming anxiety, improving focus and productivity, finding relief from depression, or strengthening family relationships. If you are seeking a provider who will meet you with empathy, respect, and dedication, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
