Oswaldo J. Perez, M.S., LMHC-QS Clinical Psychotherapist | Addiction & Mental Health Specialist I am a Clinical Psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s most challenging moments and move toward healing, stability, and personal growth. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with individuals experiencing addiction, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, and other complex mental health challenges. My approach to therapy integrates evidence-based behavioral methods, including positive reinforcement, assertiveness training, and structured coping strategies that empower clients to build independence, resilience, and healthier life patterns. I believe that recovery is not only possible—it is achievable when individuals are given the right tools, support, and environment. For many years, I have served as a clinician in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), where I developed strong expertise in facilitating dynamic and integrative therapeutic groups. My work in these settings has allowed me to help individuals in recovery build community, accountability, and meaningful behavioral change. One of the aspects of therapy I value most is working with families. Healing often happens within relationships, and I enjoy helping families rebuild communication, strengthen support systems, and become active partners in the recovery process. Through my clinical experience, I have developed a personal therapeutic framework known as Belief – Action – Discipline, which emphasizes that meaningful change begins with transforming internal beliefs, taking consistent action, and cultivating the discipline necessary to sustain long-term recovery. I also offer a Faith in Recovery approach for clients who wish to incorporate spirituality into their healing process. This program integrates Christian-centered principles with recovery models such as Celebrate Recovery and the **Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step philosophy. It is a non-denominational program open to individuals of any background, religion, or belief who are seeking a spiritually grounded path to recovery. My goal is to create a trusted place to heal and recover, where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered to build a healthier and more meaningful life.
