I'm thrilled to introduce myself as a dedicated mental health counselor with a deep passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of children and families. I have provided counseling services since 2018, bringing a warm, strength-based approach to help children meet their unique therapeutic goals. My commitment to youth is fueled by extensive prior experience working closely with children and parents in counseling settings and behavioral capacities. I have deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve children and families specifically. As someone who experienced the foster care system, I take immense pride in being a safe, supportive adult for our students, empowering them to build resilience and improve their mental wellness. In my practice, I use highly effective, evidence-based methods tailored for children, specializing in Play Therapy (a specialized approach to help children communicate and process feelings through play), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (tools to help students manage big feelings like anxiety and depression), and I have highly specialized training in working with neurodivergent individuals (e.g., those with ADHD or Autism) to help them thrive in the school environment. I also blend therapy with engaging creative interventions like art and movement. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marriage and Family Studies (with a minor in Child Development) and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.
