Introduction

Hi, I'm Pam Haga, and I'm so glad you're here. If you're reading this, chances are life has been feeling heavy lately. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, anxious, grieving, or simply exhausted from carrying burdens that no longer serve you. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know this: You don't have to have it all figured out before you begin. Healing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about reconnecting with the person you've always been underneath the pain. For more than 30 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they practice healing, growing, and navigating life's challenges. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University–Texarkana in 1996. Early in my career, I spent over seven years working with Youth Villages, Centerstone, and Metro Government Caring for Children, serving children, adolescents, and families throughout the Nashville area. Those experiences shaped the therapist I am today and deepened my passion for helping people heal—not just cope. Over the years, I've received extensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, as well as Relational Life Therapy. While healthy communication is certainly an important part of any relationship, I've found that communication alone isn't enough. If we haven't had the opportunity to heal the hurts, beliefs, and survival patterns we developed earlier in life, those old scripts often find their way into our present relationships. That's why so much of my work incorporates Inner Child Healing and Reparenting. Together, we'll gently explore where those patterns began, offer compassion to the parts of you that learned to survive, and help you build healthier, more connected ways of relating—to yourself and to the people you love. Because I believe healing shouldn't stop when a therapy session ends, I also wrote Healing Your Inner Child: 10 Self-Guided Therapy Sessions to Rediscover Yourself and Rewrite Your Story. It's a resource designed to help people continue their healing journey long after they leave my office. Whether we meet in person or virtually, my hope is that you'll find a space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. Healing is a practice. It doesn't require perfection. Only the willingness to take the first step. I've walked this road too, and I'd be honored to walk beside you on your journey.
