Introduction

I'm Dr. Pamela Payne, PsyD, a licensed Clinical Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist based in Omaha, Nebraska. I work with adults navigating traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and chronic or catastrophic illness, with a particular focus on the cognitive, emotional, and relational impact of medical complexity. My practice also includes medical-legal and forensic record review. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Neuropsychology from Kansas City University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in rehabilitation neuropsychology. Alongside my clinical training, I bring a perspective shaped by my own experience as a patient living with a complex medical history — which informs how I approach trust, empathy, and communication in care. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments, and I'm committed to helping clients feel genuinely understood, not just assessed.
