You feel lost to yourself. The world - and perhaps even your own mind and body - feels unsafe. Your relationships lack ease, spontaneity, and trust. You are seeking therapy that will support you in developing a deep understanding of yourself, and not just abating your current symptoms. I provide a space for this kind of deeper work. I believe that psychotherapy is a dynamic process in which I support you in cultivating self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. My hope is that you will walk away from therapy with a greater sense of autonomy, authenticity, and purpose. I have experience with anxiety/OCD, complex trauma, eating disorders, and familial/caregiver dynamics. I am greatly informed by Gestalt therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative therapy. These approaches emphasize a holistic view of the person, meaning-making, and the importance of our relationships and environment. Beginning therapy for the first time or finding a new therapist is challenging. If you choose to work with me, we will collaborate to build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, authentic, and productive.
