Introduction

Healing looks different for everyone. So does growth. If you have been doing everything right on the outside, showing up, pushing through, holding it all together, but quietly feeling exhausted, disconnected, or like you have lost yourself somewhere along the way, you are not alone. And you are not broken. What you may be experiencing has a name: micro trauma. The small, repeated, invisible wounds that accumulate over time, the dismissals, the overload, the moments you had to shrink or stay silent. They don’t always look like “trauma,” but they live in your body, shape your beliefs, and quietly affect everything from your relationships to the way you lead. I am Patricia Clark, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Doctoral candidate in traumatology, and the founder of D.I.V.A. Counseling & Consulting. For more than 10 years, I have walked alongside individuals, couples, families, and organizations as they heal from the weight of what life has handed them. My approach is straightforward, validating, and deeply human. I combine evidence-based modalities, including EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with my proprietary D.I.V.A. Framework: Discernment, Insight, Vision, and Authority. Together, we don’t just manage symptoms. We get to the root. We name what has been unnamed. And we build a path toward the life you were created for, one rooted in self-acceptance, authentic connection, and genuine healing. My greatest joy is witnessing the moment a client realizes they are not broken, they are healing. I would be honored to be part of your journey.
