I value the beauty of the therapeutic relationship and will work closely with you to establish a safe, trusting, collaborative alliance that nurtures healing and encourages growth. I appreciate that everyone has their own unique life story and aim to truly understand life from your perspective. I have a warm, conversational approach, infused with a lot of empathy and a little bit of humor, to support you as you discover the fortitude within yourself to create change in your life. I’ll meet you where you’re at and remain by your side on this journey as we process emotions and experiences together, to gain insight and make meaningful connections. I have an eclectic, holistic style, utilizing evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, strengths-based approaches, and mindfulness techniques, to support clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and chronic medical conditions. As a Certified First Responder Counselor, I have specialized training to support first responders, veterans, and frontline workers. I have loved ones in law enforcement, the military, and nursing, so this work is personal for me. I understand the challenges of transitioning from the uniform to civilian life. I know that PTSD, vicarious trauma, societal pressures, workplace culture, and compassion fatigue often result in personal, relational, and professional disruptions. Workplace stressors and lived experiences can leave first responders, veterans, and frontline workers feeling isolated and alone. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to share your stories in a judgment-free zone, with a therapist who understands and respects your service and dedication. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) at Mindful Therapy & Wellness. I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bradley University. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Gerontology at University of St. Francis. I’ve been working with older adolescents and adults of all ages in private practice for 4 years. For nearly a decade, in addition to private practice, I have held roles in community mental health, neurodivergent support, crisis management, and acute inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. I understand that the decision to begin your therapy journey is not made lightly. I’m happy to provide you with a free 15-minute phone consultation to ease any of your concerns and make sure that we’re a good fit. Please reach out at patricia@mindfultherapywellness.com and I will respond promptly.
