Introduction

You will often here me say “It is/was good to be with you!”. I say this because I genuinely mean it. I am interested in leveraging our relationship to discover your best possibilities. Just like my peers, I have been married for thirty years, raised five children, and enjoyed engaging our growing family of sons and daughters-in-laws with 4 grandchildren. My passion is therapy, that is, “caring for the soul” by helping others discover life-giving change through their personal application of hidden strengths and new ways of thinking about becoming less limited or “unstuck”. We will partner together to accomplish this through the relationship we will develop, through deep listening and being heard, and through processing your experience in a safe environment with new resources. At the heart level, I believe in personal application. My approach to my work is grounded in openness, authenticity, transparency, trust, and relationship. I work with all clients while holding special interest in identity, complex trauma, relationships, managing change, life transitions and empowerment. I strive to help people and couples feel empowered with freedom and authenticity, flourish in their relationships, experience life-giving healing and change, and discover both purpose & meaning, through new or different possibilities. My approach to therapy is to integrate systemic models with psychodynamic and spiritual models, using my extensive life experience, into a customized approach. Together we will create a safe space to process, learn, and “grow through what you go through” while experiencing positive change. Your safety, well-being, and healing are my highest priorities and together, we will work to find new healing, understanding and possibilities. I have experienced multiple successful career roles which are resources to our work. These include burn-trauma, medical research, consulting work in healthcare and economic development, chaplaincy and spiritual direction, turnaround management at the state level, and as a CEO and Board Executive with experience in multiple business organizations and non-profits. These experiences provide resources for us as we work together. I am excited to meet you!
