Introduction

Mental health problems affect everyone - at some point in their life all of us will have or have had mental health issues. Everyone has difficult times in life and needs support and encouragement. In our sessions you will always have a safe, nonjudgmental space where you are validated and supported. Life is trial and error and we are all on a journey of growth in life, always learning and evolving. Has previous talk therapy not given you the results you need for growth? While talk therapy is beneficial, research points to it being most effective when combined with evidence-based interventions I utilize such as: cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychoeducation, flash technique, ACT, DBT and emotional freedom technique. I'm also trained in brainspotting which locates points in a client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain and utilizes somatic processing. I use an integrative, holistic approach to consider an individual’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a unified way- with educating clients about sleep hygiene, nutrition, exercise to help heal brain and nervous system. 🧠 Beyond Talk Therapy: What to Expect in Our Work Together Welcome, you’re taking a brave step toward healing and growth. ❌ Why I Don’t Offer Just Talk Therapy Talking about problems can be helpful—especially when you feel heard and understood. But for many people, talk therapy alone isn’t enough. This is especially true when working with: Trauma (past or ongoing) Anxiety, panic, or chronic stress Emotional dysregulation Nervous system overwhelm (fight/flight/freeze patterns) Longstanding patterns that don’t shift, even with insight Insight isn’t always enough. That’s because much of what we struggle with lives in the body and nervous system—not just the thinking mind. Real, lasting change often requires working with those deeper layers. ✅ What I Offer Instead: Evidence-Based, Whole-Person Therapy My approach is integrative, research-backed, and tailored to each person I work with. You can expect support through: 💥 Trauma Work We’ll gently process unresolved experiences using methods like brainspotting, flash technique, cognitive processing therapy or other trauma-informed practices—always at a pace that feels safe for you. 🌀 Nervous System Regulation You’ll learn tools and practices to calm your body, regulate emotions, and respond to stress more effectively. This helps shift patterns that talking alone can’t touch. 🧩 Mind-Body Awareness We may use breathwork, movement, or somatic (body-based) techniques to reconnect you with your body and increase self-awareness. 🧠 Skills & Integration I’ll help you build real-world tools to support boundaries, resilience, and nervous system health—so the work you do in therapy extends into your daily life. 🧭 What You Can Expect from Me A compassionate, trauma-informed approach A structured plan for healing and growth Support for your nervous system, not just your thoughts Respect for your pace, boundaries, and readiness 🤝 What I’ll Need from You Your healing is a collaborative process. To get the most out of our work together, I encourage you to: Be open to trying practices beyond talking Engage in between-session practices when possible Ask questions and give feedback throughout the process Final Thought This isn’t quick-fix therapy—but it is deep, meaningful work that can lead to powerful and lasting change. I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s get started.
