Introduction

My name is Pete, and I am the founder of Heart of Man Counseling. If you’ve made it to this page, you’ve likely been carrying a heavy load for a long time. You don’t need me to tell you that the path you’ve been on isn't sustainable; you already know that. What you need now is a guide who understands that the 'toughness' you’ve used to survive is precisely the strength we need to harness for your addiction recovery. I believe deeply that a therapeutic relationship, forged in honesty and mutual respect, is one of the most powerful catalysts for change a man can ever experience. It is not about me 'fixing' you; it is about creating a space where the noise of the world is stripped away so you can finally get to work on the things that matter, including your mental health support. This isn't about sitting in a chair and being analyzed. This is about professional, strategic collaboration. My goal is simple: to help you move from a place of reaction and survival to a place of purpose, integrity, and stability. I work specifically with men who are finished letting fear, pain, and regret dictate their future. If you are ready to stop defending your story and start unpacking it, we are ready to begin your journey through counseling for men. My approach is informed by over two decades in pastoral ministry, clinical counseling, and healthcare leadership. I have spent my career at the intersection of human struggle and healing. I have walked with men through the wreckage of sexual addiction, the long-term impact of childhood trauma, the suffocating weight of shame, and the disorientation of a spiritual crisis. I understand that for many, these struggles feel like a terminal diagnosis for their character or their relationships. They are not. They are challenges to be met, patterns to be disrupted, and histories to be reconciled. My role is to help you navigate this terrain with clinical precision and a deep, grounded understanding of the male experience. I operate with the belief that you deserve a counselor who matches your commitment to excellence. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC-23129) with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. My clinical foundation is built on a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arizona, along with a Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary. While these credentials inform the work I do, my true qualification is my commitment to your outcome. I have seen, time and again, that when a man decides to lay down his defenses and engage in the work of radical honesty, his life changes. You don't have to defend your story with me, but you do have to be ready to engage with it. If you are ready to reclaim your integrity and build a future that is consistent with the man you were meant to be, I am ready to show you the way. This is a supervised private practice. It is owned and/or managed by a master’s level, non-independent licensee under Board-approved clinical supervision pursuant to A.A.C. R4-6-211. The Board-approved clinical supervisor of this practice is: Name: Daniel Orozco, LPC Phone Number: (520) 257-1168 Email: dsoconsulting1@gmail.com
