I am passionate about helping individuals gain insight into how they perceive and interact with their world. My work centers around building self-awareness as a pathway toward growth, resilience, and more intentional living. Through thoughtful reflection, I aim to help clients uncover patterns that may be contributing to distress or disconnection, and to support them in finding new ways of engaging with themselves and others. As a first-generation Asian American, I can relate to the complexities that arise from navigating multiple cultural identities, intergenerational expectations, and the silent pressure to succeed while keeping emotional struggles hidden. Many of the clients I work with come from immigrant, bicultural, or minority backgrounds and are seeking a space where their experiences can be met with understanding and curiosity. While each person’s story is unique, I can often relate to the challenges of navigating multiple cultural worlds and exploring identity with care and nuance. My work often focuses on adults who are adults who are confronting life transitions, managing high-functioning anxiety, or trying to reconcile cultural and familial values with their own evolving sense of self. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to the individual. I consider each person’s background, strengths, and goals to ensure that our work together feels relevant, supportive, and meaningful. I take great care to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients can engage in exploration. I see each person as more than a diagnosis or a set of symptoms—I honor the complexities of their inner world, as well as the larger systems that shape their experiences. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, especially for those who were taught to minimize or push through emotional pain. But it’s a courageous decision—and one that can lead to deep and lasting change.
