Introduction

I believe that the experience of feeling “seen” is both the healing power and the challenge of therapy. Your choice to begin therapy is a statement to both of us: you are choosing to notice yourself, acknowledge your needs, and become curious about your experiences. My approach to therapy utilizes a blend of modalities to respond to your needs as you explore challenging emotions, learn new skills, and accomplish your identified goals. You’ve survived this long without me, and I enter our work with the belief that you are capable of creating the growth you are seeking and that your growth will continue long after our work together ends. I’ve previously supported clients with concerns about their mood (anxiety, depression, panic disorders, and OCD), identity exploration and development, perfectionism and self-judgment, trauma, interpersonal relationships, emotion regulation, thoughts of self-injury or suicide, and emerging symptoms of psychosis. My typical client often has intersecting identities and experiences. Some examples include first-generation college students, the neurodivergent community, individuals who have experienced trauma, folks from the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals from complicated or “difficult” family backgrounds, “high performers,” and individuals navigating multiple different cultures between their home and work/school environments, to name just a few.
