I enjoy working with clients who are looking to add some structure to the chaos and focus more on what matters now. People who have trauma that is hard to discuss, or is just confusing to make sense of, have a space with me. Most often, the clients I see are Women who have tried their best to balance health, family, work, communication, and self care but find that they are still drained and at a loss for what to do about their mental health concerns. This is usually due to unresolved trauma that can be hard to process alone and EMDR or talk therapy can help. Trauma does not necessarily mean you experienced war or a major event. This can be repeated neglect of needs, emotional or otherwise, throughout the lifespan. EMDR therapy does not require talking in detail about the distressing issue or completing homework between sessions. EMDR allows the brain to naturally heal itself.
