Introduction

“You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” – Navigating today’s world can be overwhelming for both adults and children. We all face challenges that lead to intense emotions and struggles, affecting individuals and families alike. The good news is: change is possible, and no one has to face these challenges alone! Whether you're a parent or navigating your own emotions, learning to manage feelings is key. It’s a skill that helps build resilience for life’s ups and downs. Emotions are powerful, but so are you—together, we can learn to ride the waves! As an intensively trained DBT therapist, rather than focusing on "fixing" behaviors, I help clients understand why they feel the way they do, giving them the tools to regulate their emotions instead of being controlled by them. Many people of all ages find this hands-on approach of DBT empowering, as it helps them feel more in control and confident in managing their emotions. In addition to DBT, I utilize CBT, Trauma-Focused, and a variety of other therapies and utilize a combination of approaches to best fit the client's needs. I specialize in working with children, teens, college students, and young adults, and I help clients of all ages facing a wide variety of issues and mental health concerns. My personal experience drives my passion in the field and allows me to connect deeply with and better understand clients. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe and supportive environment where a person can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and gain the confidence to face life’s challenges. My aim is not just to help individuals cope with their current struggles, but to equip them with the tools they need for a healthier, more fulfilling life. It is an honor for me to be part of an individual’s journey toward emotional resilience and self-discovery. If you’re a parent seeking support for your child or teens, or an adult seeking help navigating their struggle, I encourage you to come just as you are in your healing journey. You have the power to rewrite your story, and we’ll walk that path together. I am honored to be part of your journey toward emotional resilience and self-discovery!
