Introduction

Hi, I'm Rachel. Welcome to my West Des Moines office. It's a comfortable, judgment-free—and surprisingly normal—space to do some serious work without taking ourselves too seriously. I'm here to help you navigate: The heavy-hitter emotions: anxiety, depression, grief, and that "what now?" feeling during big life changes. The unique weight carried by military, vets, and first responders. (You've seen enough—let's process it.) The tough, private relationship challenges: healing from the trauma of an affair or betrayal, breaking free from unwanted sexual behaviors, and rebuilding trust from the ground up. My therapeutic style is anything but cookie-cutter. I don't believe in magic wands or one-size-fits-all solutions, because you are not a one-size-fits-all person. I specialize in therapy for the unconventional soul—the creative, the complex, and those who have felt they don't quite fit the mold. I creatively combine my training in a variety of powerful modalities (like EMDR, IFS, and CBT) to craft an approach that fits you.
