Introduction

I work primarily with children and adolescents ages 3-18. Many young kids and teenagers struggle with loss, trauma, divorce, or other life changes. Some kids and teens struggle with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, and even suicidal thoughts. Many kids and teenagers need a safe place to process their thoughts and emotions outside of their family unit. I am trained to work with children in Child-Centered Play Therapy. I help children work through their challenges using the language they know best: the language of PLAY. With adolescents, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy in conjunction with art therapy or sandtray therapy, depending on each adolescent's personality and preferences. Many kids don't reach out for help to the adults in their lives for various reasons. I would consider it a privilege to be your child's confidante as we face life's challenges together. It's important to include his/her support system (you) in treatment so we can work together to support your child. Call me to determine if I am a good fit for your family.
