Introduction

My name is Rachel Ress, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in DC, VA, and MD, providing psychotherapy services to clients throughout adulthood. I am dedicated to working with adults as they navigate life's challenges and explore their unique lived experience. I am passionate about the intersection of physical and mental health, anxiety and chronic stress. In our work together, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches to support your unique individual needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). I served as a medical social worker for several years at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Hospital and continue to support patients with Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis at Capital Digestive Care. I earned a Master's in clinical social work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's in psychology from the University of Michigan. I am devoted to supporting individuals impacted by cancer, chronic illness, and grief and loss. I look forward to speaking with you and discovering how we can work together.
