Introduction

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you are navigating different life transitions. You might be feeling the pressure of anxiety, the ache of a past trauma, or work related stress and burnout. Whatever challenges you are facing, healing is possible. I specialize in helping adults, young professionals, and college students navigate life's toughest challenges. My areas of expertise include: -Anxiety: From persistent worry to social anxiety to the stress of a big life change, we will explore what's keeping you stuck and help you find a sense of calm and clarity to help you move forward. -Trauma and Grief: We will work slowly and gently to process painful past experiences and complex grief, helping you release pain and move toward healing. -Life Transitions: Whether you a student finding your footing, a recent grad launching a career, or navigating a major identity shift like new motherhood, I offer grounded support and tools to help you move forward with clarify and confidence. -Relationship Issues: We can address family conflicts, interpersonal stress, and the patterns that keep you from having meaningful connections. -Stress Management: Providing tools to and support to help you deal with work-related stress and burnout so that you can reclaim your energy and find a healthier work-life balance. - Identity & Culture: I provide a supportive space to help clients explore and integrate different aspects of their identity as it relates to spirituality, religion, and multicultural issues. My approach combines traditional talk therapy along with innovative therapeutic modalities to facilitate deep, lasting change. These modalities include: - Internal Family Systems (IFS): I use this gentle, transformative approach to foster self-compassion, connect with your inner wisdom, and resolve internal conflict. - Somatic Experiencing (SE): Since trauma and stress are held in the body, this body-based method helps to regulate the nervous system and release trauma held in the body. - Relational Psychotherapy: My clinical foundation is in this approach, emphasizing the power of the therapeutic relationship as a tool for healing and growth. - Mindfulness & ACT: I incorporate mindfulness and tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you manage difficult thoughts and focus on your values. Adjunct Therapy Available: If you are already working with a primary therapist, I offer specialized adjunct treatment focusing specifically on Somatic Experiencing (SE) or IFS. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with over a decade and a half of professional experience. - Clinical Experience: I served for eight years as a Staff Therapist at Columbia University Counseling and Psychological Services. - Education: I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from NYU and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania (graduating Cum Laude and majoring in Religious Studies). -Post graduate training: I have a Certificate in Relational Psychotherapy from the Stephen Mitchell Institute, a Certificate of Completion in Level I Internal Family Systems Therapy, and a Certificate of Completion in Somatic Experiencing Therapy (in the beginner and intermediate levels). Let's Connect – Virtual Sessions for all of New York State: I offer convenient and confidential telehealth appointments throughout New York State. I look forward to hearing your story and exploring how we can gently begin this path toward greater peace and well-being.
