Welcome! My goal as a counselor is to create an authentic, non-judgmental, and affirming environment that best supports the unique needs of each person. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship between the client and counselor is the foundation for effective growth and change. I also strongly believe that you are the expert of your own life. In our work together we will walk side by side on your path of growth and healing. Together we will utilize your values, build on your strengths, and hone in your skills in order to work through life’s challenges. My counseling approach is person-centered and compassion focused. I work through a holistic lens, drawing from attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and emotionally focused individual therapy. When appropriate I also might utilize some skills and components from more cognitive based theories such as DBT and CBT.
