Introduction

RAIZ Counseling Services PLLC is a mental-health practice dedicated to empowering clients’ minds while nurturing the healing of their hearts. The clients we serve are adolescents and adults who need individual, couples, family or group counseling to help them cope with daily struggles, overcome personal obstacles and/or those who suffer with mental illness. We also offer counsel and coaching for those who are not experiencing a mental health issue but would like some guidance on life decisions. The theoretical frameworks we use are Person-Centered, Reality Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Counseling. We tailor our approach based on the need of the client. First and foremost, we strive to create an environment where the client feels safe and comfortable to share what is on their mind and/or heart. We use a series of open-ended questions, reflection of thought, and attentive behaviors to gain a better understanding of the situation the client finds themselves in. We also provide counsel and teach skills that are useful in dealing with difficult situations and/or relationships in a non-therapeutic way for those who do not require therapy. We make a conscious effort to bring some type of resolution to all problems that my clients present me with.
