I bring more than 20 years of clinical experience and 40 years in education to my work as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Ph.D. I've had the privilege of serving individuals, couples, and families—from teenagers through older adults—and I approach each person's unique needs with a flexible, multimodal style. My background includes university teaching positions in California and Connecticut, and I've served as past president of the Connecticut Counseling Association. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, career counseling, and relationship work, drawing on approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based practices, and person-centered therapy. My fundamental belief is that all meaningful counseling is heart-centered—grounded in genuine connection and focused on helping you move toward greater functionality, resilience, and fulfillment in your life and relationships. I'm currently accepting new clients and offer both telehealth and in-person sessions, accepting most major insurance plans.
