Introduction

Do people assume you have it all together, but you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma that overwhelms your thoughts and emotions? Maybe you want to feel as confident and in control (on the inside) as other people think you are on the outside. You may look like you've got it all together, whether a mother or a corporate executive, but sometimes even the "strong one" needs support. As a Black woman and a therapist, I also understand how race, ethnicity, gender, and social inequities impact people and how important it is to experience being both seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. I am a licensed Psychotherapist in NY and the owner of RW Psychotherapy. I am passionate about working with people who identify as BIPOC. I have spent the last two decades working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences, providing psychotherapy and services that help to alleviate emotional and relational distress. I use my professional and clinical training in evidence-based/ informed treatment models such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to treat anxiety, OCD, depression, and trauma. I also offer clinical supervision to other therapists looking to grow in their clinical skills, but also need support as they provide therapy in their own practices. Finding the right therapist is a critical step toward self-care that can have a meaningful and positive impact on how you feel about and live your life. If you are ready to take that step, contact me to get started, and I can help you achieve a healthier relationship with yourself.
