I have worked in the mental health field for over a decade, from inpatient psychiatric care to outpatient, finally settling down in private practice, which I believe is my calling. I feel comfortable working with all manner of individuals, from those experiencing significant life changes and looking to find a direction to those struggling with various DSM-5 diagnoses and their related symptoms. I want to help my clients discover what works for them and what brings them happiness, safety, and fulfillment. I believe we all can change and grow if given the right skills. I believe that the most critical part of therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist. We are a team, and my first goal is to foster our connection. I strive to hear you actively and work with you to identify, challenge, and replace negative thoughts and behaviors, and learn and implement new, more effective ways of living. If you are looking for a therapist who speaks plainly and is motivated to work collaboratively with you to achieve your goals and make the changes you want, then I am here for you. I believe in fostering a relationship built on comfort and security, yet direct and honest, which allows us to get to the root of change.
