Introduction

Hey, I'm Raynor. I have spent the last 9 years working as a first responder. I decided to become a counselor due to all of the mental health needs I saw while responding to calls. Through the fire academy I learned how to utilize mindfulness as a tool to increase my efficacy on the fire ground and combat job/life stress. I use Acceptance and Commitment therapy to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviors and how they relate to their personal values and life goals. I like motivational interviewing to explore the ideas of change and the resistance to it. I also incorporate aspects of internal family systems and Gestalt Therapy to explore parts of the experience that exist more in the subconscious.
