Introduction

Welcome to RCL Counseling. My name is R.C. Lehman, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Paul Irby, LPC-S (#60529). My journey into counseling is deeply rooted in faith, service, and a calling to help others find healing and purpose. Before becoming a counselor, I spent more than a decade in public service — serving in law enforcement, working as an EMT, and a brief time in the U.S. Navy. Those experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of the stress, trauma, and emotional challenges that come with serving others. They also showed me how essential mental, emotional, and spiritual health are for those who dedicate their lives to helping others. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University (2007) and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2024). Along the way, life has taught me lessons the classroom never could. As a single father of three boys, I’ve faced divorce, custody battles, and the daily work of rebuilding peace and balance. These personal and professional experiences have shaped a counseling approach that is authentic, faith-driven, and grounded in both Scripture and evidence-based practice. My faith in Christ is at the center of everything I do. I use the Bible alongside trusted treatment planning tools to help create individualized plans that address the whole person — mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Whether we’re discussing trauma, family struggles, or personal growth, every session is guided by biblical principles of compassion, truth, and restoration. Today, I specialize in working with the “servant hearts” of the world — first responders, law enforcement officers, healthcare professionals, veterans, clergy, attorneys, and single parents — people who give deeply of themselves and often carry silent burdens. My mission is to help you rebuild, rediscover peace, and reconnect with the best version of yourself — mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. At RCL Counseling, you’ll find a faith-based environment where you can speak freely, find understanding, and begin your journey toward lasting healing and renewal.
