Introduction

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Rebecca offers counseling support to individuals and couples. She specializes in working with clients experiencing relationship challenges, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, negative self-image, and life transitions. Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Davidson College, and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College. While at Rollins, she earned a supplemental Certificate in Family and Relationship Therapy. She is one of the three co-founding partners at The Well House Therapy, a small collective of clinicians in private practice. With individuals, Rebecca uses a collaborative, person-centered, trauma-informed and attachment-based approach. She often incorporates Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) with individual clients, to create powerful shifts in clients’ beliefs or persistent somatic symptoms. With couples, she utilizes an integrative approach that draws from both Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy to create insight into negative cycles of behavior, nurture improved communication and understanding, and strengthen emotional bonds between partners. Rebecca’s therapeutic approach emphasizes the role of attachment and the family system in individual growth and wellbeing. She works collaboratively with clients toward increased insight and improved emotional vulnerability and interpersonal connection, as a means to meaningful change in relationships and wellbeing. Rebecca is a believer in nature as therapy, and enjoys spending her downtime outdoors. She is married and has children in high school and college. She loves practicing yoga, hiking, growing vegetables and flowers, traveling, backpacking, attending concerts, reading a good book, and enjoying a wild Florida thunderstorm.
