Hi, I’m Rebecca, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, and I work with people who are healing from trauma, especially survivors of domestic violence and sexual trauma. My path into this work started before graduate school, when I spent two years working with foster youth in a residential program. Those years shaped how I understand people: so much of what we carry makes sense once we understand what we’ve lived through. Since then, I’ve worked in crisis stabilization, community mental health, and residential treatment for teens, and at the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s Trauma-Informed Systems Initiative. Today my focus is on outpatient therapy with adults and teens 16 and older. My approach is gentle and steady. Trauma often leaves people feeling unsafe in their own bodies and relationships, so we’ll move at a pace that feels manageable for you. I draw from attachment-focused, somatic, and parts-based approaches to help you understand your reactions with more compassion, feel more grounded, and build a life that feels safer and more like your own. You don’t have to have the right words or know exactly what you need to get started. If you’re curious about working together, I’d be glad to hear from you. Sessions are offered via telehealth throughout California.
