Introduction

Hi, I'm Rebekah Scott — a licensed trauma therapist, mom of seven, grandma, and fellow traveler on the winding road of healing. For over seven years, I've walked alongside adults who carry the weight of PTSD, narcissistic abuse, anxiety, and deep emotional wounds. My only agenda is to meet you exactly where you are — with evidence-based tools (5-NET, WET, compassion-focused, trauma-focused approaches) and a calm, non-judgmental space that honors your story, your pace, and your values. If spiritual hope or gentle faith elements feel supportive to you, they're here. If not, our work stays completely clinical. Either way, you're safe, seen, and in charge. My path to this work? I'm mama to seven amazing adults — three biological, four adopted as special-needs teens from Ukraine. That journey deepened my empathy for resilience and rebuilding. Before counseling, I was a U.S. Customs Inspector and EMT, learning to stay steady in storms. I've called seven states home (Alaska to Rhode Island) and celebrated my 40th with a solo Paris adventure — croissant in hand, heart full. Specialties: PTSD, Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, Complex Trauma (C-PTSD), Religious/Spiritual Trauma, Anxiety & Hypervigilance, Boundaries & Codependency, Chronic Shame & Self-Worth, Emotional Abuse & Gaslighting, Grief & Attachment Wounds, Stress & Burnout. Treatment Approach: 5-NET (Narrative Exposure Therapy — my favorite for lifelong rewiring), WET (Written Exposure Therapy — 5 sessions, no homework), Trauma-Focused, Compassion-Focused, Culturally Sensitive, Christian Counseling (optional), Gestalt, Art Therapy. Ready to move from surviving to thriving? I'd love to partner with you. Hope is here; your story is still unfolding. Visit my website: idahotraumatherapist.com
