Introduction

I believe therapy works best when you feel like you can walk into the room, take a breath, and be completely yourself. My approach is warm, conversational, and down-to-earth. I became a social worker because I have always been interested in people. Their stories, the experiences that shape them, and how they find their way forward when life doesn’t go as planned. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, major life transitions, and those times when life simply feels overwhelming. I have a particular interest in helping people understand how past experiences continue to influence the way they think, feel, and respond today. My goal isn’t to tell you how to live your life, but to help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways to move forward. As a therapist, I bring both clinical experience and a genuine belief that people are much more than a diagnosis or the hardest thing that has happened to them. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also include laughter, insight, honesty, and those moments when something finally begins to make sense. Wherever you are in your story, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes you just need a place to start.
