Hi, I’m Rimple Guron, founder of Peaceful Mind Therapy PLLC. I am a dual-licensed mental health therapist supporting clients in Washington and Illinois. I serve as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois. I am also an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certified therapist through EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology Counseling Practice from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Saint Louis University. Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals through trauma recovery, with a special focus on guiding survivors of sexual assault toward healing and empowerment. I offer many different types of therapy techniques whether that is traditional talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, or mindfulness based stress reduction. I also offer EMDR therapy and feel honored to walk alongside clients as they experience the meaningful healing and lasting change EMDR can create. EMDR is a type of therapy that helps your brain heal from hard or painful experiences. Sometimes when something overwhelming happens, it can feel like it keeps showing up, through anxiety, self-doubt, strong emotions, or feeling easily triggered. EMDR helps your brain “unstick” those memories so they no longer feel as upsetting or powerful. You don’t have to relive everything in detail. Instead, your brain learns how to store the memory in a healthier way. When that happens, many people notice they feel lighter, calmer, and more like themselves again. The things that once felt overwhelming don’t hit as hard. You may feel more confident, more present in your relationships, and more in control of your emotions. EMDR can help you move forward instead of feeling pulled back by the past. This allows you to live your life with more peace and freedom. When you’re ready to take the first step, I’m here to walk beside you on this journey. You deserve to feel whole again, and I’d be honored to help you achieve that.
